Louie Woody

L. R. Buster Woody, 89, passed away at his home in Belfalls on February 10, 2012 .
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home, Temple. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 18, 11:00 a.m. at the Ward Street Church of Christ, Marlin, Tx.
Burial will be at the Oenaville Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. , February 18, 2012.
Buster was born on July 26, 1922 to James Anderson and Roberta Zellah Yarbrough Woody in Cottonwood, Tx.
During WW II he served in the US Navy, specializing in aircraft systems maintenance. After the war he began a 40 year career , retiring in 1989, with a San Diego based defense company, General Dynamics. He worked on every aircraft and space shuttle produced by the company.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elaine son, Lou Woody of Larton, VA two daughters, Carol Gonzalez of San Diego, CA Roberta Fillingham of Belfalls twelve grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.
