Loretta Swanzy was found dead on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her residence.

Loretta Jean Swanzy was born on August 21, 1962 to Burrell R. Harris and Irene Bowker- Harris in Riverside, New Jersey. Loretta enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia. She loved her family and spent her time with her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and taught her family the importance of knowing God. She leaves behind a life lesson of no matter the circumstance, always forgive.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her son, Shawn Burleson; daughter Emily Perri and husband Nicholas; two brothers, Frank Harris and Robert Harris; two sisters, Stephanie Harris and Candy Patnoe and husband Ronald; two grandchildren; and a nephew, Cody Patnoe.

Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
