Lorene Haisler

Lorene Ann Jakubik Haisler, 96 34 of Temple was born March 20, 1915 in Red Ranger Community, Bell County. She was the first born of three children of Anna Lesikar Jakubik and Henry Jakubik. After her mother Anna died, her daddy married Olga Lesikar and had four children.
She married Joseph Haisler December 24, 1936. They made their home in Temple. After her husbands retirement in 1977, the moved to Zabcikville where they raised cattle and gardened.
Her interest were sewing, gardening, cooking great meals kolache, and she loved their pets. Lorene was fluent in 3 languages. She belonged to the Seaton Brethren Church and was a member of the Christian Sisters. They were active in SPJT 24 in Cyclone.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Temple and joined Temple Brethren Church. Her interest were then her 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, her home, dog and cat.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Haisler, and Baby Joe in 1938.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Cockrell and husband Skippy of Temple, Jo Dell Lynn and husband Henry of Ft. Worth grandchildren, Charles Amos, Jr. and wife Whitney, their children Carsen and Chip of Temple Joel Amos and wife Jessica, their children Elijah and Ameria of Temple Henry Joseph Lynn and wife Robin, their children, twins, Henry and Ivy of Georgetown Jo Anna Miller and Chris, their children Ava and another girl on the way, of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by sisters Mona McCoy of Dallas, Gladys Tyroch of Temple, nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Memorials may be made to the Temple Brethren Church, 2202 Bird Creek Drive, Temple Texas 76502 or the Temple Animal Shelter, 620 South 31st Street, Temple, Texas 76504.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00am, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Temple Brethren Church, with Rev. Larry Zabcick officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park under the direction of HarperTalasek Funeral Home, Temple. A visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6:007:00pm at the funeral home.
