Services for Lorene Brown Davis, 99, of Temple will be 3:00 pm Thursday February 25, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family invites and welcomes friends for visitation Wednesday, February 24th from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lorene Davis died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at a local care facility.
Lorene Haden Brown was born February 18, 1917 in Milam County to Marion Chandler Brown and Ella Mae Willingham Brown. She married the love of her life James Hansford Davis on September 9, 1934 in Bell County and together they raised five children.
Lorene is survived by her son, James H. Davis, Jr.; daughters, Mary Stanford, Dorothy Stephens, LaNell Mersiovsky; grandchildren, Kandy Love, Jimmy Davis, Dottie Stephens, Nan Chestnut, James Lowery, Linda Moore, Sheila Randolph; many great and great-great grandchildren; and brother Verny L. Brown of Florida.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Chandler Mason Brown; and daughter, Doris Ellen Lowery.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Davis, James Lowery, J.J. Chestnut, Brooks Moore, Ethan Randolph, Luke Randolph, Stephen Green, and Anthony Brown.
