Linnie Mae Rowe, 98 of Temple, passed away August 22, 2009 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be 9:00am Wednesday at Moffat Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Humphries officiating.
Linnie Mae Rowe was born December 19, 1910 to Robert Lee and Anna Waller Nichols in Limestone County. On July 17, 1933, she was married to Carl David Rowe in Little River. After graduating from Kings Daughters Nursing School, she went on to work as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Scott and White Hospital. Mrs. Rowe also assisted with Vacation Bible School and taught pre-school level Sunday School. She was a member of AARP, and the Pioneer Club at Scott and White. Linnie Mae Rowe was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple since 1940.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include: sons; David Wayne Rowe and wife Martha, and Kenneth Charles Rowe and wife Carla, both of Temple, daughter Marjorie R. Harris and husband Jim of Temple, sisters; Maurine Shumake of Temple, and Lou Coleman of Houston, grandchildren; Paula Johnson, Vicki Thornal and husband Holly Thornal, Lisa Pruett, David Rowe, Jr., Kim Westmoreland, Katherine Rowe, and Natalie Gliha; great grandchildren; Derrick and Cory Johnson, Amber and Eric Thornal, Stephen Malcik, Justin Stirman, Eddie Steven Pruett , Jacob Pruett, Ashley Hartfiel, Deidra Rowe, Ariel Robertson, Jaime and Shelby Reid, Grace and Zoe Westmoreland, Joey, Jennah and Jake Gliha, and great great grandchildren; Emma Reid, Audrey Rowe, Dylan Johnson, and Javian Stirman.
