Services for Linda Kay Reeder, 76, of Temple will be 9:00 am, Tuesday, August 16 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Danny Brey officiating. Burial will follow at Dyess Grove Cemetery in Temple.
Kay Reeder passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at a local hospital.
Linda Kay Reeder was born March 25, 1940 in Round Prairie, Texas to James Eldridge Kyser and Lilla Edith Owen. She graduated from Kerens High School. She attained her Associate's degree in Radiology from Navarro College. She married the late Thurl Clay "T.C." Reeder on May 5, 1961 in Corsicana. They moved to Temple and she worked for Scott & White Hospital as a Radiology Tech until her retirement after 35 years. She was a member of the Cowboy Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. She had a hearts passion for cats, dogs and horses. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Cutting Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, Central Texas Quarter Horse Breeders Association, and was inducted into the Bell County Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
Mrs. Reeder was preceded in death by her husband, T.C., and a brother, James Eldridge Kyser Jr.
Survivors include her beloved family.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, at the funeral home.
