Linda Owens

Linda J. Owens, 62 of Temple, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at her residence.

Linda Owens was born May 19, 1948 in Yokosuka, Japan to Ernest Lee and Merita Astle Martin. On January 8, 1967, she was married to Gene A. Owens in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She worked as a daycare director for Crenshaw Harris Academy.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: her husband, Gene A. Owens of Temple, son, Gene E. Owens of Temple, daughter, Dawn M. Owens of Temple, brothers Ed Murphy of Pomaria, South Carolina, Gary Murphy of Hampton, New Hampshire, and Frank Martin of Sadler, Texas, and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:007:00pm, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
