Leon Clay
Leon Clay, 84 of San Antonio formerly of Temple, died Monday, May 30, 2011 in a San Antonio hospital.
Mr. Clay was born September 15, 1926 in Princeton, TX to the late Joseph Lee and Effie McCormick Clay. He served during WWII in the US Navy as Seaman First Class and was an office manager in the retail business. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Temple TX.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Herlinda Hernandez Clay, sons and daughters Larry Clay and his fiancee Patsy, Donita Meals and husband Robin, Joe Castillo Jr. and his wife Ann, Mike Castillo, Paula Garza and Husband Jerome, Margarita Gonzalez and husband Manuel, one brother Charles Clay and his wife Norika, also by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, June 1 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Clay will be 10 am Thursday, June 2 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in temple TX. Interment will follow at Temple Garden of Memories with Military Honors.
