Lena Gericke

Mrs. Lena Warren Gericke, 102, of Temple, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 in a local nursing center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Dr. Tom Henderson and Rev. Gary Kleypas officiating. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Mrs. Gericke was born to William J. and Margaret Parrett Nesbitt in Davilla, Texas on April 1, 1906. She had been a resident of Temple since 1923. She was married to John Warren for 47 years before his death in 1972. She married Henry Gericke in 1974, and he preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple.

Survivors include one brother, F.M. Greeson of Houston; and special family, Dean and Susan Decker of Temple. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; mother, Margaret Nesbitt; two sisters, Rosalie Baker and Emma Teague; and two brothers, John Nesbitt and William Nesbitt.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
