Lawrence Cochran

Services for Lawrence Sonny Cochran, 81, of Temple, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Billy Koinm officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Cochran died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at a local nursing home.

He was born November 24, 1932 in Haskell, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Edith M. Dawson Cochran. He served in the United States Army from 1946 1955. He lived in the Temple area for 16 years.

Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by three daughters, Edith Rose Cochran, Sarah Louise Cochran, and Linda Cochran Kelley.

He is survived by his loving companion, Marion Byrd, of Temple his daughters, Carol Mayhew of Auburn, Washington, Marilyn Ross of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ginger Kelley of Tulsa, Oklahoma a sister, Faye Ann Thurow of Sydney, Nebraska ten grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple
