Larry Glenn Poulter

Larry Glenn Poulter, age 81 of Temple, passed from this life Thursday, September 12, 2024. Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Cross Church on Birdcreek in Temple. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park & Cemetery.

Larry was born on September 26, 1942, in Frost, Texas. He was an avid golfer and a fan of football, especially the Temple Wildcats. He enjoyed baseball and loved to watch his grandsons, Weston and Dawson play. Larry would sing Old McDonald in his best Donald Duck voice for any child that would listen just to make them laugh. He also loved singing Chantilly Lace. He was proud of his beauty queen, blackbelt earning, volleyball playing granddaughter, Delaney. Larry was a member of Cross Church on Birdcreek and managed Payless Shoes for over 25 years.

Larry is preceded by his parents, J.D. & Lucille Poulter.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Poulter; daughters, Janice Harmon and husband, Kevin, Kelly Moon and husband, Brad; brother, Ronny Poulter and wife, Peggy; 3 grandchildren, Weston Harmon and wife, Brooke, Dawson Harmon and wife Kirsten, and Delaney Moon; 4 great grandchildren, Declan Harmon, Beckett Harmon, Atlee Harmon, and Levi Harmon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Church on Birdcreek.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
