Kirby Richter

Services for Kirby Richter, 72, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Reverend Randy Holtzclaw officiating.

Mr. Richter died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at a Temple nursing home.

He was born on November 8, 1941 in Temple, Texas to M.F. Don Richter and Sadie ODean Marshall Richter. He graduated from Temple High School in 1959 and was a member of the Wildcat football team. He loved his Wildcats He went to TCU on a football scholarship and graduated from TCU in 1964 with a degree in Education. He coached in Hillsboro, Texas and then moved to Temple where he worked with his father, M.F. Don Richter in real estate and then became a custom home builder in Temple. He was a devoted father, son, brother, friend of many and a Christian. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Richter was preceded in death by his father, M.F. Don Richter.

Survivors include his mother, Sadie ODean Marshall Richter brother, Larry Richter and wife Gracie of Kerrville sons Kyle Richter and wife Amanda and Koy Richter and wife Janice, both of Belton daughters Misti Weaver and husband Chance of Memphis and Marli South and husband Bill of Pilot Point five grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.

Visitation will be from 11 1 on Saturday, July 12, at the funeral home.
