Kermit James VanWinkle, 76, of Belton passed away on September 5, 2013 at a local hospital. There will be a visitation on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
Kermit was born March 7, 1937 in Mound, TX to Bryce Miller VanWinkle and Vena Mae Key VanWinkle. He graduated from Temple High School in 1955 and was a loyal Wildcat fan. Kermit also worked at Wilsonart for 15 years and at C H Diecasting for 35 years where he retired.
Kermit married Glenda Sue Wiley on September 28, 1968 in Temple, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda of Belton sons Monty Paula VanWinkle, Michael Tammy VanWinkle all of Temple, Damon LeeAnne VanWinkle of Hutto daughter Hollie Randy Huff of Troy 19 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
