Karen Jones

Karen Rose Jones, 84 of Temple, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2019 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, November 4, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple, 500 W. Barton Avenue.

Karen was born January 20, 1935 to Joseph Schott and Kathryn Houston Schott in Lima, Ohio. She married Clyde Jones on June 9, 1952 and they were married for 67 fun and exciting years. Karen always lived for the moment and made lots of memories along the way.  She sang alongside her husband while he played guitar, and she was an avid bowler and golfer. Life was never dull with Karen and she could fill up a room with her smile and laughter. She was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Thomas Gavales; and her sister, Catherine Donnan.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband, Clyde; and her daughter, Michelle Jones.
