Julie Beck

Julie Beck, born May 13, 1948, passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on August 7, 2016 at Kingwood Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of David Beck, with whom she shared 49 blissful years of marriage. Born in McKinney, Texas, she was the daughter of Howard and Dorthey Cook. She attended Temple High School, and was a member of the First Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, gardening, cooking, and playing with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband David Beck, daughter Shannan Beck, grandchildren Melissa McCormick and Russell Robinson II, great-grandchildren Stella Marie McCormick, Aubrey & David Robinson, as well as her brothers Patrick & Michael Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her twin brother Walter Cook. She always cared for her friends and family and will be greatly missed by all.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Pastor Don Moore officiating.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, August 11, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
