Judy Ann White, 65 of Holland, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 29, 2020 with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Judy Gotcher officiating.
Judy was born December 20, 1954 to Andrew and Mary (Hill) Lickman in Fort Hood, Texas. She loved fishing, antique collecting, caring for plants and flowers of all kinds, working in her yard, a good game of scrabble, coloring, and many more hobbies she picked up through the years. She considered her most treasured time, the time she spent with family and friends. Judy had many different occupations throughout her life (she loved finding “the next best thing”), but her time as a Florist at Patsy’s Flowers in Temple was probably where she felt the most at home. She was a member of Granger First United Methodist Church and loved the feeling of acceptance she received from everyone she met through her church family, both past and present. One particularly special person to Judy was her former pastor, Judy Gotcher. Judy always had such wonderful things to say about Pastor Judy and her influence on her spiritual life.
Judy was preceded in death by Josh Christian, Sr; Michael White; Paul Wayne Vanover. She was also preceded in death by her beloved pets, Nicholback and Ms. Kitty.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are Carroll and Mary Oliver; Alyssa White; Roxanne Roberts and spouse, John; DeeAnn Griffin and spouse, JoeBob; Jimmy Darrell Oliver and spouse, Karen; Susan Schultz-Morrow; Chelsea Christian; Josh Christian, Jr.; Bentley Christian; Scott Isbell, Jr; Tara Roberts; Billy Allen; Jacqueline Huffman; Andrea Lickman; and many more family and friends that will greatly miss her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your local food bank, animal shelter/rescue or to the charity of your choice.
Dear God, I Thank You
By Judy Ann White
I woke up this morning thanking God for this day
And I pray each morning that He will show me the way.
To walk down the path that He has chosen for me
Only one small problem, I’m a sinner you see...
But my God is so Great, He knows me like a book
And so, I pray for forgiveness that’s all it took.
He gave his son so our sins are washed away.
So never forget this was a high price to pay,
for all our sins to be taken away!
Thank you, Lord for always standing right by my side
And for taking my hand and being my guide.
The Love that you give me no matter what I choose.
Keep me on the path and I know I can’t lose.
My eyes are wide open to see the writing on the wall.
I Love you Lord and I’ll be ready when you call.
