Judith Ann "Judy" Hunka, 80, of Temple, passed away on August 27, 2024. Judy was born on April 11, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised by her loving parents Hal and Pearl Elliott. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, class of 1962. On December 7, 1963, Judy was united in marriage to her loving husband Bill Hunka. They were blessed with two boys, Ron and Randy. They enjoyed many happy years of marriage until his passing on March 20, 1986.

Judy was employed by the Temple News Agency from 1972 until 1980. She later worked for Kings Daughters Hospital as Assistant Director of patient accounts from 1986 until her retirement in 2009.

Judy will be remembered for her kind heart and sweet nature. She loved spending time with her sons and her grandchildren. She loved all her dogs through the years, and she enjoyed working in her backyard planting her beautiful flower beds. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling to destinations across the country with her mother Pearl and her best friend Darlene.

She is survived by her son Ron and wife Lori, son Randy and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Nicholas and Tanner; step-grandchildren Jessica, Cody, and Cole; and her beloved dog companion Sammie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two brothers Mark and Rick.

Visitation with the family will be at 11am until the Funeral service begins at 12pm Noon on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be at Bellwood Cemetery.
