Judy Nell Gill

Services for Judy Nell Gill, 71, of Little River-Academy, will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Ben Mauldin officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Gill passed away Friday, January 5, at her home.

Judy Nell Gill was born April 18, 1946 in Stephenville, Texas to Warren Thomas Morgan and Nancy Viola Brown Morgan. She graduated from Academy High School in 1964. She furthered her education at a nursing school where she received her LVN certificate. On September 1, 1965, married John William Gill. Together they started their family and Judy was then a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. She made many gifts for her family. She was a member of TOPS the "Take Off Pounds Sensibly" group. She maintained and appreciated her friendship with the members. Judy was a collector of Thimbles, John Wayne and hummingbirds which were seen throughout the home.

Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Nancy Brown Morgan.

She is survived by her husband, John of 52 years; a daughter, Nancianne Kelly and husband Scott; a brother, James Darol Morgan; and one grandchild, Scott Kelly Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Judy's honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, Virginia 22215.
