Services for Juanita Perez Medrano, 87, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Cesar Guzman officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mrs. Medrano passed away Wednesday, August 3, at her home in Temple.
Juanita Medrano was born June 11, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas to Caetano and Isabel Perez. She attended school in Temple and married Julio Medrano on August 1, 1946. She retired from American Desk in 1989. Juanita was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she was a member of Ladies De Colores and a lifelong member of VFW Post 1820. Juanita also volunteered at the Temple Veterans Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio; son, Thomas; and daughters Mary Helen, Rose Mary, and Frances.
Juanita is survived by sons, Robert Medrano of Troy and Michael Medrano of Temple; daughter, Esther Haufler of Temple; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Recitation of Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m.
