Juanita Breen, age 76 of Temple, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mrs. Breen was born August 6, 1946, near Eddy to Wally and Alice Hernandez. She lived in other states but always found her way back to Texas to be close to family as family was very important to her. She loved getting family and friends gathered for celebrations and just to spend time with one another. She was a kindhearted and loving person. She never met a stranger. By the end of any conversation, she would know and remember things about a person, and it showed. She took an interest in everyone she spoke to. She also had many friends and was a well-loved employee of the Hedricks Medical Center in Abilene for many years until her retirement. Juanita would care for the patients as if they were family. She cherished her friends as if they were family. To her they were all family. She has a place in everyone’s heart and will always be remembered as a beautiful soul who lived a life of ups and downs but always was a breath of sunshine and made everyone feel loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Breen, parents, Wally and Alice Hernandez, four brothers, Wally Hernandez, Antonio Hernandez, Trinidad Hernandez and Rudy Hernandez and sister, Andrea Fincannon.
Survivors include her daughter, Melisa Ramirez, three grandchildren, Christopher Leiker, Javier Campbell and Isabella Campbell and two brothers, Rene Hernandez and Lewis Hernandez, and several nieces and nephews.
