Juan Reyes, Sr.

Juan C. Reyes, Sr., 85, of Temple passed away Tuesday in a local hospital. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple. Scott Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Quinteros Cemetery in Temple.

Mr. Reyes was born October 5, 1923 to Jorge and Maria Chapa Reyes in Kennedy, TX. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He worked in the construction business for Odell Geer as a concrete finisher.

Mr. Reyes is preceded in death by his loving wife, Herminia M. Reyes; sons, Arnoldo Charlie Reyes, Ruben Reyes, Alberto Beto Reyes, Eliazar Ty Reyes; one granddaughter, Juanita Reyes.

He is survived by sons, Juan Kito Reyes, Jr. and wife Elena of Raymondville and Dennis Reyes of Temple; daughters, Irma D. Quinteros and husband, Jose of Temple, Maria E. Hernandez and husband Andrew T. of Rogers, and Linda R. Vig and husband, Ricky of Temple; sister, Maria Gonzalez of Raymondville; brother, Jesus Pelon Reyes of Robstown; daughters-in-law, Ofelia Reyes of Amarillo, Debbie Reyes of Orland, FL and Janie Reyes of Rotan, TX; 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alberto Vasquez, Jr., Carlos Reyes, Raymond D. Vig, Eliazar T. Reyes, George Reyes and Darren Reyes. Honorary pallbearers will be Juan R. Reyes, Jr., Joseph Puente, Erin S. Vasquez and George J. Vig.
