Joyce Tyler

Mrs. Joyce Tyler, 74, of Belton, died at her residence Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 9, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Harry Thrasher and Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Reed's Lake Cemetery near Temple.

Mrs. Tyler was born in Big Spring, Texas on August 27, 1933. She married Lee Roy Tyler in Hobbs, New Mexico on February 6, 1958. She had been a resident of Belton since 1972. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Belton.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Lee Roy Tyler of Belton; three sons, Lanny Smith and wife, Debbie of Lafayette, Indiana, Eddie Tyler and wife, Jerri of Belton and Ronnie Tyler of Belton; one daughter, Joy Martinez and husband, Luis of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren, Lanny Michael, Cassie and Cory Smith, Lindsey, Amy Jo and Melissa Tyler and Kristi and Kathi Dunn; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dan Tyler and her parents, Chuck and Mae Smith.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
