Josephine Eaton

Graveside service for Josephine Eaton, 94 of Temple will be Tuesday, June 2 at 10a.m. at the Moffat Cemetery in Temple.

Mrs. Eaton died Sunday, May 31 in a Bartlett Nursing Home, she was born January 19, 1915 in Refugio County, TX to the late James Henry and Laura Ella Buchanan Gavit.

She was of the Pentecostal faith, she married Roy Olin Eaton, June 2, 1932 in Llano, TX and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1969. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Gladys Wood and son Roy Wayne Eaton.

Mrs. Eaton is survived by: daughters: Pearl Gober of Moody and Betty Pierce of Troy and one son: Kenneth Jim Eaton of Salado, brother: Vernon Gavit of Oklahoma, sisters: Lou Locks of Zephyr, Freida Self of Belton and Betty Shifflett of Troy, also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren..

Visitation will be Monday, June 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Odyssey Hospice 2114 Birdcreek Dr. Temple, TX 76502 or Moffat Cemetery Association.
