Josephine Castro

Josephine Castro, 63 of Temple, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00pm Wednesday in South Park Cemetery in Pearland.

Josephine Castro was born July 19, 1947 to Juan and Maria Leal Salazar in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She was married Agapito Castro in Houston, Texas. She worked as a housekeeper for The Bluffs Apartments in Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband on August 5, 2006, her parents, a brother, and a sister.

Survivors include: sons Gabriel and Andrew Castro both of Temple, and Joe Castro of New York, brother, Raymond Salazar of Taylor, sisters Alvrita Ramirez and Paula Rogas both of Houston, Lupe Rodriguez of Bartlett, Janie Gonzalez of Charlotte, Texas, and Mary Martinez and Flora Guardiola both of Temple, and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:00 8:00pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Prayer service will be 5:00pm, and rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.

HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
