Josefina Gonzalez

Josefina Gonzalez, 90 of Temple, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Josefina was born on March 6, 1931, in Mexico and was a long-time resident of Temple, where she lived with her loving son. She loved cooking, cleaning, and taking care of all her grandchildren that she adored very much.

Preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Mendoza; her sons that died at a young age, Evelio & Rigoberto Mendoza; her adult sons, Santana & Alfonso Mendoza; and her grandson Osvaldo Mendoza.

Survivors include her daughters, Ermila Renteria, Alicia Manriquez & Graciela Rodriguez; sons, Casimiro, Octavio, Roberto, Rodolfo, Arnoldo & Antonio Mendoza, 40 grandkids, 89 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm with a rosary recited at 6 pm Friday, March 4, 2022, at the funeral home.
