Jose Aranda

Services for Jose Catarino Aranda, 84, of Temple will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 29 at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic church with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Cremation will follow.
Jose Aranda died August 26 at his residence.
Jose Catarino Aranda was born in Mexico on November 25, 1931. He met and married Felicitas Alvarado. Mr. Aranda was a hard worker and worked for over 35 years for Art Co Bell. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, dancing and singing. He recycled and collected various styles of cans. He was a faithful member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church and attended Mass every morning at 6:00 am.
Mr. Aranda is preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Aranda and two sisters.
Survivors include his three sons, J. Margarito Alvarado and wife Martha, J. Natalio Aranda and wife Gloria, J. Alejandro Aranda, five daughters, Mariana Alvarado, Maria Martinez and husband Julio, Maria J. Tovar and husband Alfonso, Yolanda Martinez and husband Fernando, Olivia Perez and husband Arthur, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
