Johnny Lawrence

Services for Johnny Lawrence, 69, of Temple, will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Darren Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence died Friday, August 8, at his home in Temple.

Johnny was born April 12, 1945 in Brownfield, Texas to Jack Earl Lawrence and Vera May Tie Lawrence. He attended school in Troy as a child, and later Lamar Middle School and Temple High School. He was a hard worker he was an equipment operator for a salvage business, a welder, and a maintenance man. Johnny enjoyed fishing and junking, and said that his greatest achievements were his children and the friends that he made.

He was preceded in death by his parents a daughter, Joey Lee Lawrence a sister, Linda May Lawrence Barfield and two brothers, Jackie Earl Lawrence and Doyle Lawrence.

Johnny is survived by three sons, Johnny Lee Lawrence, Jr. and wife Tammy Lynn John Lee Lawrence and wife Sunny and Jimmy Lawrence a daughter, Janet Lee Lawrence nine grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, at the funeral home.
