Johnnie Krumnow

Services for Johnnie Hobday Krumnow, 97, of Temple, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Dr. Tom Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Krumnow died June 30 at a local nursing home.

She was born in Arkansas December 2, 1916 to Homer and Lillian Ligon Hobday. She married Edgar Krumnow in 1937. She retired from Temple Independent School District food service in 1984 after working for 26 years. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar son, Kenneth sisters, Helen Prince, Grace Spears, Peggy Allen and brothers, Buck, Homer, Woodrow, and Bill Hobday.

She is survived by her son, Charles Krumnow of Little RiverAcademy, grandchildren Melinda Love of Troy, Ty Krumnow of Temple, Kevin Krumnow of West Columbia, South Carolina, James Krumnow of Omaha, Nebraska five greatgrandchildren and seven greatgreat grandchildren sisters Mary Miller and Pat Steinert and brothers Jack and Tom Hobday, all of Temple.

Visitation is scheduled for 9:30 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at the funeral home.
