Memorial services for John Curtis Elliott, 82, of Temple will be 6:00 pm Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Love officiating.
John Curtis Elliott passed away Monday, December 21, 2015.
John was born on March 24, 1933 in Temple, Texas to Clifton and Clara Mae Messer Elliott. He married Barbara Kay Beavo in Lampasas on May 12, 1975. John was a lifelong resident of Temple, employed for fourteen years by Western Auto, and retired as a truck driver. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. John belonged to the VFW Post 1820. He served our country in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kerri Lynn Puckett; brother, Darrell "Chubby" Elliott; and sister, Judy Kay Autrey.
John will be left in memory and cherished by his wife, B.K. Elliott; five children, James Allen Elliott, Clifton Prentice Elliott, Bobbie Jane Sansom and husband Willis Sansom, Misty Harris, and Robert Elliott; brother, Mack Elliott and wife Frances; sisters, Nancy Tischler and husband Lindy, Margaret Bandy and husband David; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five nieces; and seven nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VA Hospice, 1901 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Temple, TX 76504.
