Joe Simecek

Joe Paul Simecek, 83, of Temple, Texas passed away May 16, 2012 at a local hospital. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2012 from 57 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Harper Talasek Funeral Home Chapel of Temple. A Mass Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Ranjan Cletus officiating, burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.
Joe was born March 18, 1929 to Charles Simecek and Francis Jochec in Marak, Texas, Milam County. He married Edna Michalka on May 10, 1952 at St. Monica Catholic Church in Cameron, Texas. He worked at Kopriva Cabinets and retired from E.R. Carpenter Co.
Joe is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Edna Simecek and his children Pat Simecek of Temple, Texas, Robert Simecek of Temple, Texas, Eileen St. Amant of Temple, Texas and Nancy Mesecke of Zabickville, Texas, 5 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 1018 South 7th Street Temple, Texas or Scott and White Cancer Center 2401 S. 31st Street Temple, TX 76508. Services entrusted to Harper Talasek Funeral Homes Temple.
