Joe Ramirez

Joe R. Ramirez, 76 of Troy, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his residence. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home, with rosary recited at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00am Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Joe R. Ramirez was born April 15, 1932 to Reymundo and Paulina Rodriguez Ramirez in Rogers. He married Helen Hernandez on December 16, 1948 in Belton, Texas. In 1966, he moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Troy. Mr. Ramirez was the founder and owner of Ramirez Swimming Pools in Temple. At the age of 60, he traveled to Chicago where he received training and certification in welding. Mr. Ramirez was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.

BRHe is preceded in death by infant daughter Virginia, and a brother, Frank. BRBRSurvivors include: wife Helen Ramirez of Troy, sons; Paul H. Ramirez, Joe Eddy Ramirez, and Ralph Ramirez, all of Troy, daughters; Mary Ann Resendez, Linda Gomez, and Virginia R. Garcia all of Troy, brothers Jessie Ramirez and Mike Ramirez, sisters; Juanita Ramirez and Mary Ochoa, 18 grandchildren, and 15 great grand children.
