Jodie Holick

Jodie Steve Holick of Harbor City, CA passed away 12252010 due to complications from a stroke at the age of 74. Jodie was born feb 26, 1936 in Temple, Texas and graduated from Academy School in Little River, Texas. He left Texas for the adventures in California where he met and married Martha Winnie Bearden.
After working for Chaffee Ford Motors he founded and operated J W Used Cars in Harbor City at 5 points and Lomita, CA for over 30 years. The Holicks settled in San Pedro with their 4 children and spent many of their weekends and vacations together at their Colorado River Home just down river from Parker, AZ.
Jodie is survived by his wife Winnie, children Sheila Josephsen of Newport Coast, CA, Pamela Draper of Anthem, AZ, Clayton Holick of Belmont Shores, CA and Donna Holick of Prescott Valley, AZ.8200Beloved8200grandchildren include Erin Holick, Katelyn Holick, Jessica Draper, Samantha Draper and Bradly Draper.
He was preceded in death by parents Joe Mary Holick of Temple, Texas but is survived by his siblings Johnnie Holick of Riesel, Robert Holick of Giddings, Georgia Forney, and Mary Pemberton of Temple as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jodie loved his Family, good Polka Music and Dances, Baseball, Dallas Cowboys, and Playing Cards or Dominoes while drinking beer with friends family.

Visitation will be Friday, January 7th from 6pm7pm with a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 8th at 10am. Both services will be at HarperTalasek Funeral Home of Temple. Jodie will be laid to rest at the Seaton Church Cemetery in Seaton, Texas and a Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family in Southern CA at a later date
