Joan Wright

September 20, 1946 — February 20, 2018

Memorial Services for Joan Carol Wright, 71, of Salado will be held Monday, February 26, 2 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple, 500 W. Barton Ave. Temple, TX 76501.
Joan passed from this life at her home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

Joan was born September 20, 1946 to Horace and Minerva Andrews in Temple. She spent over 25 years living in the central Texas area. She was a faith driven woman who was
a former member of Western Hills Church of Christ. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Temple-Belton Board of Realtors.

Joan was a wonderful cook and loved to bake as well. She loved animals, especially her dogs. Mrs. Wright enjoyed traveling to the coast with friends and family, particularly all the
wonderful trips to Port Aransas and Rockport. She adored living in the Salado area. Her home in the country suited her well, with the sounds of the birds and the peace and quiet
of it all made it her own personal sanctuary. Joan was a music lover and played the piano.

At the heart of it all she lived for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, always having time to teaching them to cook and bake or her specialty of spoiling
them with shopping. The love she had for her entire family was always felt around the holidays. She was at her happiest with a noisy house full of laughter, good food and great
company. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Andrews.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 51years, Michael Dana Wright; daughter, Holly Wright Weber; son, Clay Michael Wright; brothers,
David Andrews, Brian Andrews, David Yost; as well as two very special grand daughters, McKenna and Mallory Weber.
