Jesse Castillo

Jesse Diaz Castillo passed away on March 24, 2014 with his family by his side, after a short illness. He was 89 year old.

He served in the Army during WWII. He retired from the V.A. Hospital in 1978 after 35 years of employment.

He enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the Barrel Inn.

He is survived by his family daughters: Stella Robert Lerma, Herlinda McGahan, Hope Jon Murany, Mary Valverde, Bitsy Heidi Castillo, Paula Sidro, Lily Rodney Rivera, Phyllis Mike Muro. His sons: Ruben Castillo, Larry Alma Castillo, Ricky Cecila Castillo, Ralph Castillo, Ronnie Patsy Castillo. His sisters: Rosie, Janie. His brothers: Edward Castillo Henry Castillo, Ernest Castillo. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Juana Castillo, brothers Jimmy Castillo, Joe Castillo, and a sister, Rosa Reyna.

Visitation will be 67 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Recitation of Rosary will from 78 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Temple.
