Services for Jerry Henry Cabla, Jr., 85, of Temple, will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Denise Mikeska officiating. Burial will be private.

Mr. Cabla died Wednesday, November 4th at a local care facility.

He was born November 13, 1929 in Seaton, Texas to Jerry Henry Cabla, Sr. and Francis Janacek Cabla. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and later was a supervisor for Ralph Wilson Plastics, where he retired after 23 years. He was married to the late LaVerne Skrabanek for forty-six years. Mr. Cabla was a member of Seaton Brethren Church, SPJST Lodge 24 in Cyclone, and a member of the board of the Seaton Cemetery Association for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVerne; sons, Kenneth and Clayton Cabla; and sister, Dorothy Schiller.

Mr. Cabla is survived by his daughter, Arleen Mayeux and husband Herman; a brother, Henry Cabla and wife Margie; sisters, Tonie Malcik, Vallie Mae Pritchard, and Blanche Sexton and husband Leland; sister-in-law Linda Schneider and husband Harold; brother-in-law Lawrence Skrabanek and wife Sandra; and grandson, Christopher Cabla.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m., November 5th, at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Garden Estates Assisted Living and Southern Care Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
