Jeffrey Combs

Jeffrey Neal Combs, age 62 of Moody, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at a local hospital. A family viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. His ashes will be taken to Somerset, KY at a later date.

Jeffrey was born on December 10, 1957 to Owen and Elsie Combs in Somerset, KY. He married Elisa Duran. Jeffrey served his country proudly from 1978 through 1993 when he retired from the United States Army. He was a tanker for over 20 years. After retirement, he worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a big animal lover and especially had a soft spot for horses. Jeffrey was an avid gun and knife collector and was a member of the NRA. He loved living the "country life" and considered it a blessing to be able to settle down and enjoy his home on the family's 11 acres. Jeffrey was a hard worker and loved his family with all of his heart. He treated everyone with respect. Jeffrey was a man of few words and enjoyed the simple things in life. Above all, Jeffrey was a Patriot. He loved God, guns, and his country.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Elsie Combs; and sisters, Jeanine and Shannon.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Elisa Duran Combs; children, Christina Combs; Michelle Combs Dallas; Jeffrey Combs Jr.; step-sons, Jason Clutchland, Isaac Duran, and Tommy Fitzek; grandchildren, Ericka Hildebrand; Alec Hildebrand; Kelsey Hildebrand; Jacob Hildebrand; Eric Dallas; Kaylie Dallas; Owen Combs; Nolan Combs; and Clair Combs; and great-granddaughter, Ariel Cason.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Duran and Combs Family and all of their friends that have been so supportive through this difficult time.
