Graveside services for Ellena Jean Frits, 93, of The Woodlands, will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. A time of visitation and gathering will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Mrs. Frits passed from this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Jean was born April 8, 1925 in Stringtown to Eugene and Cecil Collier.

Jean lived all of her life in Central Texas until her later years when she moved to the Houston area to be closer to family. Jean was a long-time member of East Highway Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and she always prepared something delicious for any occasion. She was mostly known for her bread, pies and cakes. Jean's greatest treasure in life was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne F. "Jack" Frits; and her parents.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are a daughter, Kathy Wolff; a son, Roy Frits and fiancé Charlene Pruett; as well as four grandchildren, Amy, Eric, John, and Kevin; and one great-grandchild, Jack.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
