Janice Ann Larsen

 Janice Ann Larsen, of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was 81 years old.

Janice was born on October 10, 1944, at Scott & White Hospital, to B.E. Wright and Mozell Hodge. She was a graduate of the Temple High School Class of 1962, and went to the Scott & White School of Nursing, leading her into a nursing career spanning 40 years with Scott & White.

Janice loved her children, loved watching Turner Classic Movies, and loved to cook. She also spent a lot of time traveling the world, including the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. Janice deeply loved the Temple Civic Theater. She was a founding member, with her last performance in 2001, and her final curtain on February 10, 2026. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandfather, whom passed in the Civil War.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Larsen; son, Tod Larsen and wife Denice; daughter, Misty Cowley and husband Nathan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026, at 1:00PM, at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM. Janice will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or the Temple Civic Theater.
