Janet Valentine

A memorial visitation for Janet Lee Craft Valentine, 74, of Temple, will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Mrs. Valentine passed from this life on Friday, April 27, 2018. Janet was born in Fort Worth on October 20, 1943 to Clayton W. and Gladys F. Wiley.

Janet lived in the Temple area for over 30 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. At the heart of it all she was a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends, it was her own special way of showing her love and care. Janet enjoyed being outside gardening and tending to her flowers and plants. She also loved to be outside to listen to the birds. She had a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds and especially her pets throughout the years. Mrs. Valentine had a wonderful spirit full of joy and laughter. She was known for her distinct laugh that was contagious. Janet's greatest treasure in life was her family. There is nowhere else she'd rather be than surrounded by her beloved family. She will always be remembered as Nana, GJ, and Grama-Jamin. Janet will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Janet is preceded death by her parents; a husband; a daughter, Lisa Ann Craft; and by her precious dog, Jasmin.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Pam Coffia and husband Xavier; grandchildren, Chris Craft and wife Amber, Abbie Anderson, Haley Coffia; great-grandchildren, Riley Craft and Wyatt Craft.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Mrs. Valentine's name to the SPCA or your local animal shelter.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
