Janet Roberts

November 4, 1951 — January 14, 2010

Janet E. Roberts, 59, of Killeen passed away Friday January 14, 2011 in an Austin hospital. She was born November 4, 1951 to Frank and Jean Clark Daehn in St. Louis Missouri. She graduated from Arcadia Valley High School in 1969. After returning to St. Louis she met and married Tom Roberts December 27, 1969 in St. Louis. She has lived in Killeen since 1988. Jan has worked as the secretary for the U.S. Army Blood Bank on Ft. Hood for the past 16 years. Jan was a fun loving, caring woman whose first thought was always for others with a strong Christian belief.
She is survived by husband, Thomas Roberts of Killeen son, Jim Roberts and wife Dana of Temple daughter, Brandie Wallace and husband Eric of Marlin sisters, Marianne Wilson of Fenton, MO and Pat Meeks of Monroe, LA grandchildren Paige Solis, Michael Roberts, Matthew Wallace, R.C. Wallace, and Barrett Wallace.
Mrs. Roberts is predeceased by her parents and brother, Michael Daehn of Affton, MO.
Memorials may made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, 5501 Clear Creek Rd, Killeen, TX 76549. Visitation will be 68 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the funeral home with burial following at 3:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
