James Palcer

Graveside services for Lt. Col. Ret. James Bernard Palcer, 79, of Temple will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Palcer died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at a local hospital.

He was born July 23, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Agnes Palcer. He married Rita Patterson in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina in 1961. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church in Temple.

Mr. Palcer was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joan Karbowski.

Survivors include his wife, Rita a son, Charles Palcer of Austin a brother, Robert Palcer of Buffalo Grove, Illinois a sister, Katherine Campe of Elk Grove Village, Illinois and two grandchildren.
