Memorial services for James Robert Landry, 29, of Killeen will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, at Christ the King Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
James Robert Landry passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at a local hospital.
James R. Landry was born on June 28, 1987 to Gregory Joseph Landry Jr. and Kimberly McIntyre in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Dutchtown High School in Louisiana. He was Valedictorian at I.T.I., formally I.T.T., in Louisiana where he acquired his Associates Degree. He started his internship with SpaceX and shortly after was hired as a Rocket Propulsion Test Technician. James was a passionate worker. He was the first to volunteer with various organizations. His hearts passion was space. His dream was to go to Mars.
He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Fontenot and husband Jason; father Gregory Joseph Landry Jr. and husband Jorge Cantu; his life partner, Taylor Aycock; brother Jacob Fontenot; sister Madeleine Fontenot; grandparents, Janet Kowalski, Dianne Fontenot, Bennie Fontenot, Cynthia Landry, and Gregory Landry Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all for your prayers and to Metroplex and Scott & White Hospital for their care of James.
