James Harris

James Robert Harris, 66, of Temple, Texas died suddenly Wednesday, May 2, 2012. There will be private family services at a later date.
Bobby was born in Waco, Texas to Horace Clayton Harris and Francis McKamie on March 3, 1946. He had been part of Temple all his life. On May 15, 1964 he married Patricia Langbein in Ft. Worth, Texas. He then joined the U.S. Army in 1964, and proudly served his country for 6 years. In that time he became a Ranger of the 82nd airborne squadron. He received several citations including multiple Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, And a Bronze Star. He enjoyed anything that had to do with his grandchildren and was very involved in their activities. He also loved fishing and hunting.
He is preceded by his parents and brother, Ronnie Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia Harris, children Aimee Harris Johnson of El Paso, Texas, Jaimee Rice and husband Barry of Cleburne, Texas, Holly Ward and husband Chris of Moody, Texas, Micalyn Wilson of Temple, Texas, and Robert Harris of Temple, Texas, sisters Jonell Franklin of Ocean Spring, Mississippi, Mary Ledbetter of Mineral Wells , Texas, and Pam Hanna of Missouri, 11 grandchildren, and a dear host of friends.
