Services for Jack R. Williams, Jr., 68, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Kerens, Texas with Dr. Philip Shuler officiating.
Mr. Williams died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at a local hospital.
Jack was born October 24, 1946 in Corsicana to Jack Rodger Williams, Sr. and Frances Inmon. He graduated from Edinburg High School in 1965. He married Paula C. Cotney and attended Texas A&M at Commerce. He worked as a Vice President of Human Resources for major corporations and was also a consultant. He attended St. Paul Methodist Church in Temple. Jack enjoyed baseball and golf, but his family, and most especially his grandchildren, was his pride and joy.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Williams, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Paula; daughters Corrine Warren and husband Tony of Tyler, and Heather Williams of Temple; son Jason Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren Justin and Jaydin Williams; his mother, Frances Williams; brother James Williams of Temple; sister Rena Taylor and husband Kenneth of Belton; three nieces, and three nephews.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Scott & White Memorial Hospital ICU Unit for the care that they provided to Jack.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the "Gift of Life" volunteer work in Beaumont, Texas.
