Jack Whitlock

Service for Jack Whitlock, 90, of Temple, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, October 2, 2014, at
Bellwood Cemetery in Temple, TX.

Mr. Whitlock died Sunday, September 28, at a hospital in Rockdale.

Jack was born January 19, 1924 to Jack Whitlock and Stella M. James Whitlock in Cleburne, Texas. He was married to Jimmie Whitlock for 46 years and they have lived in Temple since 1964. Jack was employed as a District Supervisor of the Mechanical Department of the Santa Fe Railroad. Jack served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946, and was awarded a Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, a Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of the A.F. and A.W. and a 33rd Degree Free Mason of the Scottish Rite.

Mr. Whitlock was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Sue Watkins

Jack is survived by his wife two sons, Michael B. Whitlock and Terry Todd Whitlock four daughters, Sherry Elaine Bolding, Anna Michelle Rea, Connie Yvonne Wentzel, and Anita Louise Cooney, 17 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 57 pm Wednesday, October 1st, at the funeral home.
