Irene Flores

Services for Irene Flores, 85, of Temple will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Florencio Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Flores died on Thursday, December 18th at a local hospital.

Irene was born on December 15, 1929 in Troy, Texas to Calletano Silva and Felipa Alvarado Silva. She has been married to Joel Flores for 67 years. Irene was a lifelong resident of Temple where she attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Irene was a Surgical Technician in the Pathology department with Scott and White for thirtytwo years. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her husband four sons Robert Flores, George Flores, John Flores, and Fernando Flores two daughters Sylvia Bustos and Joanna Staton sister, Mary Silva Flores fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 8 pm with a Rosary recited at 7 pm on Monday, December 22nd at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
