Ima Lazarus

Ima Joyce Lazarus, age 89 of Temple, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Ima Joyce was born on May 13, 1931 to Leon and Roxie Jones in Dallas, Texas. She has lived in the Temple community since 2003. She was married to Fred "Pete" Lazarus for 72 years. She has been a member of the First Baptist Church Society since 1968. She worked short periods of time, but her main job in life was a loving mother where she raised three sons.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete; her parents; and her sister, Ava Neil.

She is survived by her brother, Sam Jones of Broch, Nebraska; sons, Fred W. Lazarus and wife, Sherril of San Angelo; Ron Lazarus and wife, Beth of Maypearl; and David P. Lazarus and wife, Kim of Killeen; and grandchildren, Kathy of Maypearl, Lindsay of Arlington, Patrick of Richland Hills, and Mary of Killeen.

A time of visitation will be held at 11 am, prior to the service on Thursday in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple.
