Herlinda Clay

Services for Herlinda Linda Hernandez Clay, 90, will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 1 at Harper Talasek Funeral Home from 6 8 pm with Rosary reciting at 7 pm.

Herlinda Hernandez Clay, 90, ascended to Heaven on August 28, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas.

Linda, daughter of Ramon and Maria Hernandez was born of April 14, 1924 in Seguin, Texas. While she grew up in Seguin, life would lead her to reside in the cities of Temple, Austin, Arlington, and San Antonio. Linda will be remembered for her kindness and sweetness. She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. It must be mentioned that Linda was a gifted seamstress, who amazed all in her handiwork with thread and needle dresses for little girls, gowns for brides, or ballet folkloric costumes. But the joy of Lindas life was her family, simply walk into her home to find a display of all her loved ones. She was a grandmothers grandmother and proud of every one of them. She will be greatly missed by all.

Herlinda is preceded in death by loving husband, Leon Clay parents brother, Jesse Hernandez sisters Ramona Hernandez and Gloria Hernandez.

She is survived by brother Ramon Hernandez, Jr. four children Joe Castillo, Jr. and wife, Anne, Michael Castillo, Paula Garza and husband Jerome, and Margarita Gonzalez and husband Manuel 15 grandchildren 17 greatgrandchildren, and 6 great greatgrandchildren.
