Herbert Luning

Herbert ODoyle Luning, 88 of Temple and formerly of Fort Worth, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 in a local care center. Graveside services will be 10:00am Wednesday, June 24th at Barclay Cemetery.

Herbert Luning was born September 30, 1920to Benjamin and Lillian Flippo Luning in Temple, Texas. On October 2, 1943 married Ethel Lee Jecmenek in Temple. He worked as a supervisor for General DynamicsLockheed for 42 years. Herbert Luning was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lee Luning in 2004.

Survivors include: daughters; Belinda Lea Beyer and husband Billy of Jarrell, and Trisha Madewell and husband Troy of Fort Worth, grandchildren; Jennifer Marquis and husband Charles of Jarrell, Jessica Beyer, Joshua Beyer, and Julie Beyer all of Georgetown, Clint Madewell and Cody Madewell both of Fort Worth, and great-grandchildren; Kyle Marquis, Kelsey Marquis, and Carter Marquis, all of Jarrell.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Joshua Beyer, Billy Beyer, Edward Adams, Cody Madewell, Clint Madewell, and Troy Madewell.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:30pm Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of the arrangements.
