Henry Brown

Graveside services with military honors for Henry Franklin Brown, 89 of Temple, will be 9 a.m. Thursday, July 26 at Killeen Memorial Park with Pastor Jay Thomas officiating.

Mr. Brown passed away Monday, July 23, in Temple.

Henry Brown was born January 14, 1929 in Hamilton, Texas to William Thomas Brown and Effie Pearl Outhouse Brown. Henry was a life-long resident of Temple and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army from 1949 - 1952, during the Korean Conflict. He married Helen L. Heistand on April 5, 1962 in Temple. Henry was a butcher for David's Supermarket and for Stausbergers and owned his own produce market. He was a former member of the Bell County Sheriff's Posse and enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen. He is survived by two sons, William Earl Brown and Riley Jay Brown; a daughter, Patricia Philen; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
